The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 it is no merriment. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
