The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
