The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 not a flippant jest. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
