Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 Travailing, worn. 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 no food for them but cactus thorn 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 Well-pleased with their endeavour, 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 Within it are couches raised high 13 Goblets set, 14 Cushions arranged, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 So, [O Prophet] exhort them: your task is only to exhort, 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 Ours is surely then to reckon with them. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
