Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 “What did I know of the heavenly world, when the angels had disputed.” 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 After I have created him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down, prostrating yourselves to him.” 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them: 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Said (God): "O Iblis, what hindered you from adoring what I created by My own authority? Are you too proud, or too high and mighty?" 75 Said he, 'I am better than he; Thou createdst me of fire, and him Thou createdst of clay.' 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 But Satan said, "My Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection," 79 He (Allah) said: 'You are among those that are respited 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one, 82 Save Thy bondmen among them Sincere. 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 I shall certainly fill Gehenna with you and every one of them that follows you' 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
