Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha Mim 1 A revelation from [God], the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful -- 2 A Scripture whereof the verses are expounded, a Lecture in Arabic for people who have knowledge, 3 proclaiming good news and a warning. Yet most of them turn away and so do not listen. 4 They say, 'Our hearts are veiled from what thou callest us to, and in our ears is a heaviness, and between us and thee there is a veil; so act; we are acting!' 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 Who give not the poor-rate; and they! in the Hereafter, they are disbelievers. 7 (As for) those who believe and do good, they shall surely have a reward never to be cut off. 8
