Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Reality - 1 What is the Reality? 2 And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is? 3 (The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come. 4 As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer; 5 and as for the 'Ad - they were destroyed by a storm wind furiously raging, 6 which He willed against them for seven nights and eight days without cease, so that in the end thou couldst see those people laid low [in death,] as though they were so many [uprooted] trunks of hollow palm trees: 7 Do you see any remnants of them? 8 Pharaoh and those before him and the people of the overturned habitations all engaged in the same great sin. 9 and rebelled against their Lord's Messenger. So He took them with a stern taking. 10 When the flood rose high and covered the whole land, We carried you in the Ark. 11 making it a Reminder for you, for all attentive ears to retain. 12 Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet, 13 And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing, 14 on that Day the Great Event will come to pass. 15 And the sky will be rent asunder, for on that Day it will be so frail. 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! 19 Verily I was sure that I would be handed over my account.” 20 So he shall be in a life of pleasure, 21 in a lofty Garden 22 The fruits of which are near at hand: 23 Eat and drink with benefit for that which ye sent on beforehand in days past. 24 And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me! 25 And had not known what is my account. 26 “Alas, if only it had been just death.” 27 My riches have availed me not; 28 Vanished has my power from me." 29 (A command will be issued): “Seize him and shackle him, 30 “Then hurl him into the blazing fire.” 31 and then thrust him into a chain [of other sinners like him - a chain] the length whereof is seventy cubits: 32 Verily, He used not to believe in Allah, the Most Great, 33 and did not feel any urge to feed the needy: 34 So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend 35 and no food except pus 36 that none but sinners eat' 37
