The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is rent asunder 1 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should; 2 And when the earth has been extended 3 and casts out all that is within it and becomes empty; 4 in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). 5 O man, you have to strive and go on striving towards your Lord, then will you meet Him. 6 Then as to him who shall be given his book in his right hand 7 he shall surely receive an easy reckoning 8 And he shall go back to his people joyful. 9 But whosoever is given his Record behind his back, 10 He surely will invoke destruction 11 But will be roasted in the fire. 12 He verily lived joyous with his folk, 13 and surely thought he would never return (to his Lord). 14 Yea indeed! His Sustainer did see all that was in him! 15 I do not need to swear by the sunset, 16 The Night and its Homing; 17 And the moon when at the full, 18 That you will climb from stage to stage. 19 So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe, 20 And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 Instead, the unbelievers reject it, calling it a lie. 22 And Allah knows best what they gather (of good and bad deeds), 23 Therefore, give them the news of a painful punishment. 24 But those who believe and work righteous works, theirs shall be a hire unending. 25
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
