T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. 23 Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." 24
