And recall what time We said to the angels: prostrate yourselves before Adam. They fell prostrate, but Iblis did not; he refused. 116 and thereupon We said: "O Adam! Verily, this is a foe unto thee and thy wife: so let him not drive the two of you out of this garden and render thee unhappy. 117 Behold, it is provided for thee that thou shalt not hunger here or feel naked, 118 And that thou thirstest not therein nor art exposed to the sun's heat. 119 Then Satan whispered to him; he said, "O Adam, shall I direct you to the tree of eternity and possession that will not deteriorate?" 120 They both ate the fruit of this tree, and so they became conscious of their nakedness and began to cover themselves with the leaves of the Garden. Thus Adam disobeyed his Lord and fell into error. 121 But afterwards his Lord chose him; He turned again towards him and guided him. 122 He said: Go down hence, both of you, one of you a foe unto the other. But when there come unto you from Me a guidance, then whoso followeth My guidance, he will not go astray nor come to grief. 123 Whoever ignores My guidance will live a woeful life and will be brought in Our presence blind on the Day of Judgment. 124 He will say: "O my Lord! why hast Thou raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)?" 125 God shall say, 'Even so it is. Our signs came unto thee, and thou didst forget them; and so today thou art forgotten.' 126 And thus do We recompense him who transgresses beyond bounds and believes not in the Signs of his Lord: and the Penalty of the Hereafter is far more grievous and more enduring. 127 Hath it not served as guidance to them how many a generation We have destroyed before them, amidst whose dwellings they walk! Verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 128

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
