And it is He who produced for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful. 78 He it is who has multiplied you on the earth and to Him you shall all be gathered: 79 He is the One who gives life and causes death and He controls the alternation of night and day. Will you not then understand? 80 Nay, but they say the like of that which said the men of old; 81 They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again? 82 Our fathers and we have been given such promises before. These are no more than ancient legends." 83 Say: "To whom belong the earth and all beings therein? (say) if ye know!" 84 They will say, God's.' Say: 'Will you not then remember?' 85 Say: 'Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty Throne?' 86 They will surely say: God. Say thou: will ye not then fear? 87 Say: 'In whose Hands is the Kingdom of all things, He protects, and none protects against Him, if you have knowledge' 88 They will reply spontaneously, "It is God." Ask them, "Why has falsehood bewitched you?" 89 Nay, but We brought them the truth and they are truly liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 Knower of the Invisible and the Visible! and Exalted be He over all that they ascribe as partners (unto Him)! 92
