Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Exaltations to Him who created pairs of all the things the earth produces and of themselves, and that of which they have no knowledge. 36 They have a sign in the night: We withdraw from it the [light of] day -- and they are left in darkness. 37 The sun runs to its fixed resting place; that is the decree of the Almighty, the Knower. 38 We have determined the stations of the moon, so that (after its wanderings) it returns as a dried up inflorescent spike of dates. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship. 41 We have created for them the like of it in which they ride. 42 And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued 43 Unless by Our benevolence, to reap advantage for a time. 44 And [yet,] when they are told, "Beware of [God's insight into] all that lies open before you and all that is hidden from you, so that you might be graced with His mercy," [most men choose to remain deaf;] 45 And whenever a sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord, they always turn away from it! 46 And when it is said to them: “Spend (in the Way of Allah) out of the sustenance that Allah has provided you,” the unbelievers say to the believers: “Shall we feed him whom, Allah would have fed, had He so wished?” Say: “You are in evident error.” 47 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 48 They will not (have to) wait for aught but a single Blast: it will seize them while they are yet disputing among themselves! 49 Therefore neither able to make a will, nor returning to their homes. 50
