The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
