We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night.
