Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known calculated term. 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
