It is He who sends down to you out of heaven water of which you have to drink, and of which trees, for you to pasture your herds, 10 With it He produces for you corn, olives, date-palms, grapes and every kind of fruit: verily in this is a sign for those who give thought. 11 And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder; 12 And there are also Signs for those who take heed in the numerous things of various colours that He has created for you on earth. 13 It is He who has subdued the sea that you may eat fresh meat from it, and obtain ornaments to wear. You see the ships plough through it that you may seek of His bounties and, perhaps, be grateful. 14 And He has cast great mountains in the earth lest it might be convulsed with you, and rivers and roads that you may go aright, 15 And landmarks; and by the stars they find the right way. 16 Is He, then, who creates like him who does not create? Will you not, then, take heed? 17 Even if you wanted to count up all of God's blessings, you would not be able to. God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 18 God knows all that you conceal or reveal. 19 Those unto whom they cry beside Allah created naught, but are themselves created. 20 they are dead, not living, and they do not [even] know when they will be raised from the dead! 21
