▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 None touch it except the purified. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 and you are watching at that time 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
