O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak). 20 And do not be like those who say, "We have heard," while they do not hear. 21 ۞ Verily the vilest of beasts with Allah are the deaf and dumb who understand not. 22 If Allah had found in them any good. He would indeed have made them listen: (As it is), if He had made them listen, they would but have turned back and declined (Faith). 23 O believers, respond to the call of God and His Prophet when he calls you to what will give you life (and preservation). Remember that God intervenes between man and his heart, and that you will be gathered before Him. 24 Beware of sedition, which does not affect the oppressors alone among you, and know that the punishment of God is severe. 25 And remember when you were few, deemed weak in the land, fearing lest people might carry you off by force, but He sheltered you and strengthened you with His aid and gave you of the good things that you may give thanks. 26 O you who believe! be not unfaithful to Allah and the Apostle, nor be unfaithful to your trusts while you know. 27 Know that your possessions and children are a temptation for you and that God has the greatest reward (for the righteous ones). 28
