Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 I swear by the Quran full of wisdom 2 verily, thou art indeed one of God's message-bearers, 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 The sending down of the Mighty, the Most Merciful 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, and so were heedless. 6 Undoubtedly, it (their disbelief) has proved true for most of them, so they will not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up (and they cannot see). 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up so that they cannot see. 9 The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. 10 Thou only warnest him who follows the Remembrance and who fears the All-merciful in the Unseen; so give him the good tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage. 11 Verily, We shall indeed bring the dead back to life; and We shall record whatever [deeds] they have sent ahead, and the traces [of good and evil] which they have left behind: for of all things do We take account in a record clear. 12
