The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 and those that blow gently, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
