The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 and those that blow gently, 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But the Pharaoh disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
