And call to mind when Abraham prayed: "My Lord! Make this city secure, and keep me and my sons away from worshipping the idols. 35 “O my Lord! The idols have led many people astray; so whoever followed me, is indeed mine; and whoever disobeyed me – then indeed You are Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” 36 Our Lord! Lo! I have settled some of my posterity in an uncultivable valley near unto Thy holy House, our Lord! that they may establish proper worship; so incline some hearts of men that they may yearn toward them, and provide Thou them with fruits in order that they may be thankful. 37 "O our Lord! Certainly, You know what we conceal and what we reveal. Nothing on the earth or in the heaven is hidden from Allah. 38 All praise be to God who bestowed on me Ishmael and Isaac in old age. Verily my Lord listens to prayer. 39 My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication. 40 Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents and the believers on the Day when the reckoning will take place." 41
