Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 your ideas are confused. 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
