Prostration
< random >
Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
