Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 and the severally severing 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
