And recite unto them the story of Ibrahim. 69 when he asked his father and his people, "What is that which you worship?" 70 They said: we worship idols, and we are unto them ever devoted 71 He asked: "Do they hear you when you call them 72 "Or do you good or harm?" 73 They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus." 74 He said: See now that which ye worship, 75 “You and your forefathers preceding you.” 76 Verily they are an enemy unto me, save the Lord of the worlds. 77 Who created me, and He doth guide me, 78 And He Who gives me to eat and gives me to drink: 79 And when I sicken, then He healeth me. 80 "And Who will cause me to die, and then will bring me to life (again); 81 And who, I hope, will condone my faults on the Day of Judgement. 82 Lord, grant me authority. Join me to the righteous ones. 83 "Grant me honourable mention on the tongue of truth among the latest (generations); 84 And make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Delight. 85 "And forgive my father - for, verily, he is among those who have gone astray 86 Degrade me not upon the day when they are raised up, 87 the day when neither wealth nor sons shall profit 88 Except him who brings to Allah a clean heart [clean from Shirk (polytheism) and Nifaq (hypocrisy)]. 89 And Paradise will be brought close for the pious. 90 and Hell advanced for the perverse. 91 who will be asked, "What did you worship 92 other than Allah? Do they help you or even help themselves' 93 Then they will be thrown headlong into Hell, both they and the misguided ones, 94 and the hosts of Iblis, all together. 95 And they will say while they dispute with one another, 96 By Allah! we were certainly in manifest error, 97 In equating you with the Lord of all the worlds; 98 And none has brought us into error except the Mujrimun [Iblis (Satan) and those of human beings who commit crimes, murderers, polytheists, oppressors, etc.]. 99 So now we have no intercessors 100 nor any loving friend. 101 Would that we had a second chance [in life,] so that we could be among the believers!" 102 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers! 103 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 104

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
