Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
