And he whose sight is dim to the remembrance of the Beneficent, We assign unto him a devil who becometh his comrade; 36 and they bar them from the Way, though they themselves think that they are guided. 37 Until when he comes before Us he will say (to the devil): "Would to God there was a distance of the East and West between you and me, for you were an evil companion!" 38 But nothing will avail you on that day, for you were unjust, and you will be partners in the punishment. 39 Can you (O Muhammad SAW) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error? 40 And if We take thee away, We surely shall take vengeance on them, 41 Rather We will certainly show you that which We have promised them; for surely We are the possessors of full power over them. 42 So hold fast to what has been revealed to you. You are truly on the right path. 43 And indeed, it is a remembrance for you and your people, and you [all] are going to be questioned. 44 And ask (O Muhammad SAW) those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: "Did We ever appoint aliha (gods) to be worshipped besides the Most Beneficent (Allah)?" 45
