The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 you pay attention 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
