And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
