Verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) are Gardens of delight (Paradise) with their Lord. 34 Shall We treat the Muslims like criminals? 35 What aileth you? How foolishly ye judge! 36 Is there with you a Book wherein ye study: 37 That ye shall indeed have all that ye choose? 38 Or have you oaths from Us, reaching to the Day of Resurrection? Surely you shall have whatever you judge! 39 Ask them which of them, for that [claim], is responsible. 40 Or have they associates if they are truthful. 41 On the Day when the leg shall be bared, and they are ordered to prostrate themselves, they will be unable. 42 Their eyes will be cast down, ignominy will cover them; they used to be called to prostrate (offer prayers), while they were healthy and good (in the life of the world, but they did not). 43 So leave those who deny this Discourse to Me. We shall lead them step by step to (ruin) in a way they will not know. 44 Yet I will give them respite: Surely My plan is compact. 45 Or dost thou (Muhammad) ask a fee from them so that they are heavily taxed? 46 Or do they have any knowledge of the Unseen which they are now writing down? 47 So be patient with the judgement of your Lord and do not be like the Companion of the Whale (Jonah), when he called out choking inwardly. 48 had his Lord not bestowed His favour upon him, he would have been cast upon that barren shore (and would have remained there) in disgrace. 49 And his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous. 50 Hence, [be patient,] even though they who are bent on denying the truth would all but kill thee with their eyes whenever they hear this reminder, and [though] they say: "[As for Muhammad,] behold, most surely he is a madman!" 51 [Be patient:] for this is nought else but a reminder [from God] to all mankind. 52
