Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
