Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is no joke. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
