Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 He plunged the villages 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
