The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 you pay attention 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
