The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is rent asunder 1 And obeys its Lord and it must. 2 When the earth is stretched out taut 3 And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. 4 obeying its Lord, as it must do! 5 O man, you are striving unto your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 Then as to him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 Soon an easy account will be taken from him. 8 and shall return to his people joyfully. 9 But he who is given his Record behind his back,- 10 He shall presently call for death, 11 And be thrown to scorching fire. 12 He used to live joyfully among his people, 13 Never thinking he will return. 14 Yea! his Lord had ever been beholding him. 15 I swear by the afterglow of sunset, 16 And the night and all it gathers, 17 And by oath of the moon when it is full. 18 That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. 19 What then is the matter with them, that they believe not?- 20 Why, when the Quran is recited to them, do they not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 In fact the unbelievers disavow. 22 And Allah well knows what they conceal in their hearts. 23 Therefore give them the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 24 Except to those who believe and work righteous deeds: For them is a Reward that will never fail. 25
Almighty Allah's Truth.
