The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The decree of God is at hand, so do not seek to hasten it. Holy is He, and exalted far above what they associate with Him. 1 He sends down the angels with the inspiration by His commandment on whom He pleases of His servants, saying: Give the warning that there is no god but Me, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 2 He created the heavens and the earth with Truth. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Allah in His Divinity. 3 Man He created from a drop of semen; and still he becomes an open contender. 4 And the cattle He created for you. In them, you have warmth and other uses, and of them you eat. 5 and there is beauty in them for you, when you bring them home to rest and when you drive them forth abroad to pasture; 6 They carry your burdens to lands so distant you could not have reached without much hardship. Indeed your Lord is compassionate and kind. 7 And (He has created) horses, mules, and donkeys, for you to ride and use for show; and He has created (other) things of which ye have no knowledge. 8 And upon Allah is the responsibility to explain the Straight Path (i.e. Islamic Monotheism for mankind i.e. to show them legal and illegal, good and evil things, etc. so, whosoever accepts the guidance, it will be for his own benefit and whosoever goes astray, it will be for his own destruction), but there are ways that turn aside (such as Paganism, Judaism, Christianity, etc.). And had He willed, He would have guided you all (mankind). 9
