T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
