Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 that they may understand my words. 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 And remember you a great deal. 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then camest thou (hither) by (My) providence, O Moses, 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 Both of you go to him (Pharaoh) and say: "We are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel depart with us, and do not punish them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; peace be on him who follows guidance! 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
