Hizb 46
< random >
Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 And leave them for a time. 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
