Say: 'I am only a warner. There is not any god but God, the One, the Omnipotent, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth and everything between them, the Almighty, the Most Forgiving." 66 Say: 'It is a mighty tiding 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 When your Lord said to the angels; Surely I am going to create a mortal from dust: 71 After I have created him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down, prostrating yourselves to him.” 72 The angels prostrated themselves, all of them. 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust. 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." 81 [Iblees] said, "By your might, I will surely mislead them all 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 [And God] said: "This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state: 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
