And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"? 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their tryst, and the Hour is very calamitous and bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 Our command consists of only one Word which is carried out in the twinkling of an eye. 50 And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? 51 Whatever they have done has been recorded in the Books (records of the deeds). 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Moon (Al-Qamar). Sent down in Mecca after The Comet (Al-Taareq) before S (Saad)
