The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29
