The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the snorting courses, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
