The people of Lot rejected the Messengers. 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
