3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
