Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
