Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing. 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say: It is tremendous tidings 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 [Say, O Muhammad:] "No knowledge would I have had of [what passed among] the host on high when they argued [against the creation of man,] 69 I am told (about matters) by means of revelation only because I am a clear warner.” 70 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 Then the angels, all of them, prostrated themselves before Adam 73 Saving Iblis; he was scornful and became one of the disbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 He (satan) replied: 'I am better than he. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay' 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 and My rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 Until the day of the time appointed. 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 "And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while." 88
