And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 And granted them signs in which there was a plain trial. 33 Indeed these people say: 34 "There is nothing beyond our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
