Have you seen the one who turned away 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
