The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created man, 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 that you may not transgress in the balance, 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
